Dark times are rising.

The world has been plunged into chaos after a great war. Supermarkets have been stripped bare, and there is very little to be found anywhere. And just when you want to collect the reward for your hard work, the nightmare truly begins: marauding hordes everywhere.

You can try to make it on your own — good luck with that.

Life is harsh in this world. The life you once knew no longer exists.

Modern technology is rare, expensive, and fails more and more often, while older technology still works reliably. Military equipment — including aircraft — has also survived the chaos largely intact. Much of it was recovered from depots and, due to its abundance, can be obtained fairly cheaply.

Predators, however, have eaten their way through much of the world. There are still animals that can be hunted, whether for selling their hides or for food. But be warned: the days of peacefully grazing livestock are over.
